Built in neo-eclectic style in the nineteenth century, the house on the former 1421 Muzelor Street, has been renovated and restored, keeping the features of this style, up to the smallest details, both interior and exterior original decorations.

The process of restoration and modernization of the building was completed in 2003, culminating with the opening of the hotel. A house with a story

The house in which our hotel was built is one with a special story, throughout the time, going through a lot of changes and modernization processes.

1881

In this house, on October 4, 1881, George (Gogu) Constantinescu, son of a mathematics teacher and the grandson of an engineer was born. He is the author of numerous inventions such as: sonic motors, pumps, hammers and perforators, sonic injectors, torque converters (sonic gearboxes), sonic energy generators, energy transmitters and receivers.

The British government created in 1918 for the Romanian engineer Gogu Constantinescu the West Drayton laboratory called the Sonic Factories. In Gogu Constantinescu’s account are included about 400 inventive licences, patented in the USA, Denmark, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Great Britain, France, Romania, etc., as well as others, which have never been published.

In 1960, the building became the “House of the Doctor and Pharmacist” until 1990, after the revolution, when it was claimed by the former owners.

In 1997 the building was purchased from them by a businessman from Craiova who took charge of its restoration.

The process of restoration and modernization of the building ended in September 2003, culminating with the inauguration of the hotel.

In 2014, the hotel was extended with another body, and the original building was also renovated. The objective of the hotel is to satisfy the needs of both foreign and Romanian guests through the spacious rooms and the intimate and relaxing atmosphere from the lounges and the summer terrace.
